7.88mi 1:06:19 (8:24) webster loop rt12/oldwebsterrd/mainst. meant to go 7 but missed a turn. shins hurt a little the whole way.
T/21 10 miles
1:15:04 (7:30) woods w/guys. Was a tempo run for 35 minutes, then (as rain began to absolutely pour) I had to hammer just to stay with the guys. I hit a wall with 2 miles left, and forcing the pace, was able only to jog in the run. I got owned.
W/22 5 miles
56:10 woods. exhausted. i had nothing to put in. my legs weren't tired, nothing hurt, but my body just wouldn't go.
T/23 off; rested hoping to get something back.
F/24 8 miles
1:13:44 (9?) webster loop+sarahtrails. Not sure of the exact distance since I went in the woods. It seemed faster than the pace listed for 8 miles, so it was probably a little more than 8.
S/25 11 miles
1:29:07 (8:06) to oxford church st woods loop. probably started too fast. was very hot the whole way and i was really craving water the last 7 miles. it was HOT, and I put in a hard effort.
S/26 2 miles
15:30 (7:45) slater st. planned on taking the day off earlier in the day but once the evening came I thought I could get in an easy run. after yesterday's run, I couldn't do much and decided to just do an easy 2 miles. left lower hamstrings felt really tight after this.
Week Total= 44 miles
1 day off, 4 easy days, 2 ass-kickings.
44 isn't the type of mileage I want to be doing but at this point I feel that the workouts I'm doing are more important than the mileage. Sure, I could go 8:00 pace and log 60, 70 miles. However, I'm trying to do the runs with the team, well, WITH THE TEAM. So if I go all out on Tuesday and can only manage 5 miles over the next 2 days, so be it, I'm getting a hell of a workout.
I hope to get at least 50 miles this upcoming week, as well as 2 good runs in, and hopefully just 1 day off, if that's even necessary.
