Training 3/16/09 to 3/22/09: Recovery from race

M/16    4 total   
PM 4mi 39:28 (9:52). One mile out, one mile back, stretching, one mile out, one mile back, stretching. Calves still very sore from race.

T/17    10 total   
AM 4mi 38:46 (9:41) w/0.5mi wu.     on Rt20   
PM 5mi 47:24 (9:29) w/0.5u. on Rt16.
Calves sore, not working too well.

W/18    6 total   
AM 5mi 43:37 (8:43) w/0.5mi wu/cd. on Rt20 w/Dad. Calves not making much improvement.

T/19 to S/22    Decided to take the rest of the week completely off for rest.

Week Totals= 20 miles [18 timed in 169:15 (9:24)]

Okay my calves had never hurt so bad. Every morning when I got out of bed, I had to yell out in pain along with it. My calves were so tight and easy to cramp following the race, I knew it would be best to just take the rest of the week off, and let my body recover some before I go back into base training.
